Supported chains

Videpay runs on multiple networks. This page shows the chains and assets available in your current environment (sandbox or live). Use it when you pick an `asset` and optional `chain` for checkout, deposits, transfers, and other payment APIs.

When should I use this?

  • You are choosing which asset to charge (USDC, EURC, and so on).
  • You want to know whether a token works on Base, Polygon, BNB Chain, or another network.
  • You omit **chain** on an API call and need to understand which networks a customer can pay on.

Why use Videpay?

  • One place to see what Videpay supports right now, without digging through release notes.
  • Sandbox and live lists stay accurate as Videpay adds networks and assets.
  • Matches what your dashboard asset dropdowns and payment APIs accept.

Multi-network checkout

Your business is registered on Base and Polygon. You create a checkout for USDC and omit chain so the customer can pick either network. The hosted page only offers chains where USDC is supported. If you charge an asset that exists on only one of your networks, Videpay routes payment there automatically.

How to use chain and asset

  1. Pass `asset` as the token symbol (for example `USDC`). Required on checkout links, deposit sessions, and most payment APIs.
  2. Pass `chain` when you want to lock payment to one network (for example `base` or `polygon`).
  3. Omit `chain` to accept that asset on every network your business is registered on that supports it. The response includes `supportedChains` so the hosted checkout can list those networks.
  4. If you pass an asset and chain that do not work together, the API returns 400 with a clear message.

Look up support from the API

Prefer the API over hardcoding symbols in your app. Sandbox and live can differ, and Videpay may add assets over time.

  1. GET /finance/supported-chains (no auth): full list of chains and assets for this environment. Same data as the table below.
  2. GET /finance/assets?chain=… (API key or dashboard session): assets your business can accept on a specific chain after you have an active on-chain profile there.
GET/finance/supported-chains

List supported chains and assets for the current environment. No authentication required.

Chains and assets

Live data for this environment. Symbols and addresses update when Videpay enables a new network or asset. In the dashboard, only assets available on your active networks appear in the picker.

cNGN on Base Sepolia (sandbox)

cNGN (NGN-pegged) is available on Base mainnet in live with the Chainlink NGN/USD feed. On Base Sepolia sandbox, Chainlink does not publish that feed — Videpay registers cNGN against a mock NGN/USD oracle instead (deployed via `deploy-mock-feeds.ts` in the contracts repo). The mock is pegged at 1 USD ≈ 1500 NGN (~$0.0006667 per NGN). USD fee and volume math on sandbox uses that mock rate; it is not a Chainlink price. Live merchants on Base use the real feed.
